Hooray... Am One Year Old!

Hey All of you out there.. Time to celebrate ..I am one year old now..
Hmm ..Time flies isn't it ?
I had a nice birthday ..cakes,presents (thanks to Cheenu thatha and patti and offcourse shreeya chitti and shirish mama) and I was busy changing costumes the entire day ..You will see that for yourself in the pictures attached.
Got wishes from thatha's and pattis and athai and periappa and periamma..The phone just didn't stop ringing ..!!! Thanks for all your love and blessings.
Thatha was telling us over the phone that the great mathematician Ramanujam was born on my birthday .. He wished me that I become like him someday..Huge expectations on me:)
Patti is down with fever ..:( Get well soon Patti..But she was so excited to see me on Webcam today. !
Cheenu Thatha and family were here as we cut a cake and had Lunch together.. The party preparations have begun ..I can't wait for saturday..Lots of our friends are not going to be there as they are travelling for christmas and some are not turning up because of the weather..Don't you worry we'll share the pictures ..!!! For the rest of you ..See you tomorrow ..!

Am 11 Months Old :)

I am 11 months old..Time is just flying and in no time I will be turning one..
I have now started playing "Running and Catching" with Appa..That's my favourite game now..As soon as Appa is home I ask him and nag him to play with me. Yesterday I got Shirish Mama off his breadth playing
"Running and catching " Another favourite pass time of mine is to get my hands on the lamp in the drawing room and Amma and Appa keep running to me screaming ..."NOOOOO NOOOOO NOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...!!!! "

I now have my personal likings ..yes I have my favourite song...I keep humming when I hear .."Alive Alive Alive...OOOO"

I have started relishing and tasting different kinds of food...I have tasted Naan, Dal,Pulav, Sambar Sadham, Adai, Dosa, Idly (with Rasam),Thayir Sadham..After relishing "Hot & Spicy" INDIAN curries how in the world can I eat Gerber fruits and cereals ????????But that doesn't mean that I dont eat American or western stuff I have tried my hands on Pasta,Pizza,Noodles as well..I think my favourite pass time now is "Eating"

I keep Amma on her toes..not a second can she take her eyes off me..If she does it's at her own risk!This month there were two such incidents...Amma has infact removed all table mats with immediate effect. On the other day she left some hot kutu on the table mat and was busy making rotis...within a whisker I tried to reach for it and just tapped the karandi and it went down flying offcourse with some kutu.The Carpet was a mess.Appa had to fly into action with the carpet cleaner to clean the mess.Second day Amma left some gingely oil and I again pulled the mat ,result-I had a gingely oil face painting on me..Offcourse to avoid the trouble I started crying and Amma came running and screaming at the top of her voice ..."P ...I...S...A...S...U "had a tough time cleaning me up and then cleaning the carpet mess !!! :-) I am sure you all now would agree in unison that I am a prankster!!

Amma and Appa have started preparing for my Birthday ..We plan to celebrate on 26th at Udipi Restaraunt..! Ayushomam on Jan 9th at our house. Amma is driving Appa up the wall asking him to help our out in the Party preparations.. :-)

I swear this is the last of it ..No more girly girly dresses for Rishi..He is going to be mad on seeing this itself!!!
This was on the penultimate day of the mottai...!!! We struggled to get Rishi on in this attire. He was so uncomfortable from the word go...He wouldn't let me put the bindi nor the kaajal...Managed to just get a small bindi on...Somehow kept cheering him on and managed to get these shots...

Am 10 Months Old :)

Hey All,
I am now 10 months old...Mom and Dad keep remarking that I am growing up in no time..he he !!! That's a compliment...
This month saw me celebrate my first Diwali (I wore my first Kurtha), first halloween (Jeyashree Patti bought me a nice pumpkin dress ).
I have now got a "strangerphormia". I can identify people and I am not comfortable going to anyone except Amma, Appa and offcourse my Cheenu thatha..!!! I am little hesitant to go to Jey Patti,Chitti and Mama. I hope eventually I will conquer this ..!
Amma and Appa are now worried that I will be mottai next week and I might not have enough hair on my head for my birthday..! Hmm....
Appa was scolding us the last time that me and Mom are making the blogs very lengthy. So I have decided to make it short... Enjoi my photos !!!

Hey All of you out there...Dont be surprised /shocked or Confused... Rishitha ain't my sister...It's me ...

offcourse it's Mom's idea. (Who else can get these weird ones ??? Mom Chill ..Just joking ) There have been so many people against this idea ...Shreeya Chitti , Rohini Aunty, Shirish Mama, Dad..All of them ...were dead against the idea but Mom got her way through. All along she wanted to have a girl .. !I have heard her say a number of times (Right from when I was in her tummy) "I want a girl ..so that I can dress her up beautifully..." and since her wish wasn't granted she is working on these ideas..

Mom just has been collecting all these "pink" accessories right from the day she picked up this dress at Carters..She has been going gaga over the dress..I really gave her a tough time putting all these on and not for a single moment was I quiet ..obviously I sensed that something was weird :)Hat's off to all the little girls who must be wearing all these day in and out..

Mom plans to give this dress away to my little friend Maya (Sneha Aunty's daughter) as I hardly wore them for a few minutes..!!!
Heard Appa telling Amma - "Rishi is going to be mad at us for doing this to him". Amma is not done yet she has plans to do one more thing ...God save me !! She wants me dressed in a traditional pavadai ( Thankfully she hasn't been able to get hold of one yet..)She is hunting and making efforts , passing the word around with her friends to see if anyone would have one that fits me...( I HONESTLY HOPE SHE DOESN'T FIND ONE!! PLS HAVE UR PRAYERS FOR ME)

Mom wanted to do this "baby girl make over" this month because as you all might know that I am getting my hair tonsured at the Pitsburgh Temple in November...So all the curls will be gone ...I am relieved honestly because Amma does a pony for me atleast 15 times a day :( and unfortunately Mom is not as experienced as Jeyashree Patti who does it in no time!!! I like the pony but I have to go th' a great ordeal to get there..Can't wait to get my hair tonsured ...:)

But On the other hand I will miss my hair too...I have got too many compliments from my American uncles and aunts on my curls..Everyone exclaims "ooh...how much hair??", "A boy or a girl","Lovely Hair"...so on and so forth..So that's gona be missed ..

Rishi Moon Walks ...

Oh my God !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG That's how Shreeya errupted in joy when she saw Rishi walk his first few steps ...!

I can't believe that Rishi is going to be mobile soon...I know what you are all saying. Yes he is going to pull everything apart in a matter of time ...:( But there are advantages too..We dont have to carry him to the car ..We dont have to hold him when he is having his bath ..We don't have to stand behind him protecting him from his fall...These are some of the luxuries that we will enjoy.. HURRAYYYY!!!!

Few days back he started keeping few steps ..thats when my Devaki Athai was telling me " Etu Masathula Kuzhandai Etu Adi vekum" meaning when a child is 8 months old he will atleast walk 8 steps !!! He did it...He is nine months old now and he is so excited that he is walking that he keeps doing just that ....Walking..Walking and Walking................When he walks he roars ...He is so proud that he is walking ha ha ...He thinks it's a major achievement ! " Yes ! it is Rishi ...Amma and Appa are proud of you"

These small achievements count...Don't they ?

Am 9 Months Old :)

Hey All,
This is Rishi ..I can't beleive the month just went so fast..And I am 9 months old. So what was special this month ??? Hm... let me think ..I celebrated along with Amma and Appa My First .."Krishna Jayanthi", "Navarathiri","Ayuda Pooja". It was a very memorable experience.
I did lot of good things this month - the best thing that I think I have done over this month is ...guess what ??? "I am able to walk" some steps without support ...Appa and Amma are delighted about this. Whenever I start walking Amma starts counting ...My current record stands at 26 steps... I use my hands as my support . Amma keeps telling me it's like as if I am trying to fly or as if I am driving a scooter.. He he !!!!

Another important milestone that has happened during the month is that I have started "teething".Two have started cutting out in my bottom row. Thankfully I didn't have much issues while teething.

I have now started trying to eat different veggies (natural ones not Gerber ones ) . Am enjoying ..!I have also had a tasting session on "Vendiya Kuzhambu","Mor Kozhambu","Flavoured Yoghurt","Rasam"....I am relishing all of it. I think I have got tired of the formula and hence loving different tastes , but now I dont like to sip the coffee. I think my taste buds are developing !!

Another forgettable incident that happenned during this month was my terrible visit to the Pediatrician this month. I had a shot. It was actually not bad as I had only one shot..And I just screamed a little then I was back to my usual self.Unexpectedly Dr.Kaza wanted a blood test done and this was my first experience and would you believe it they didnt poke me to take the sample they infact inserted a needle into the vein and I went bizzare ..Poor Mom she was terrified because I was uncontrollable and I puked from the top , I was leaking at the bottom and I was just fluttering my hands and legs to break free. Pooh ...!!! She had to then clean me up ,clean herself and then calm me down and then she brought me home and gave me tylenol and I was then ok.

I also have learnt a few intersting things over this month ---a phone is supposed to be kept closer to the ear, a pillow is used to sleep on and that Dad leaves me everyday to work :( and that I miss him terribly. Thankfully Amma stays home. But Amma and Appa are contemplating to send me to Daycare as I have now become an adhesive to Amma ..he he!!!! I am always under Amma's feet ..when cooking or when she is doing her office work. he he... I even go and stand knocking the restroom door when she is inside !!! :) Poor Amma !She keeps complaining to Thatha and Patti about how a sticker I have now become!

Our Little Krishna...

We just celebrated Rishi's first Krishna Jayanthi...It was so much fun.

We didn't do much homework on his costume ...Actually we tried the "pacha pattu"(Green Dhothi) today only and guess what it wasn't fitting him...Ha ha ..that's why you will see our Krisha keeps revealing his diaper every now and then..

We tried everything only that day and hence we weren't absolutely perfect with it but neverthless we made an effort what say ?! We did beg & borrow some stuff but unfortunately they didn't fit him.. :(

Actually Rishi was not comfortable right from the word go..I think we really troubled him too much. I think he is too young for this. Maybe next year or when he is 2 he will be able to appreciate it and impersonate Lord Krishna. It was evident that he wasn't happy because he didn't give us his usual effervescent smile.Usually he keeps giggling in every picture ..today we took atleast fifty pictures he just managed to smile in a couple of them .

We tried to make his first janmashtami as special as possible. I had made "thatai","upu seedai","vela seedai","Appam:,"Payathanganji" ...Appa had suggested that after we make all of this we offer it to the Lord. by letting Rishi to where we have placed all the prasadams...whichever Rishi touches he said that it is beleived that is accepted by the Lord himself. So we decided to do the same and guess what he picked the thatai ...!!! ;-) I thought he would go for his favourite Butter ..he didn't ...!!!! Do check out the pics and a small glimpse of what happenned today..!

Hey ..this is Rishi ..Amma forgot to do one thing which I want to do now.."THANK YOU very much Radhu Patti, Srikanth Mama and Janani Chitti." I know Amma drove you bizzare to get me a flute and I think you went to every street and corner in Chennai to fetch me one. Thank you so very much..Eventually you got me an Indian flute (The tricolor one..) ha ha ...Appa managed to conceal it by nicely wrapping it in a golden ribbon..Doesn't it look apt now ? The flute..Thank you so much ...!!! U made my day so special ..!

Bompu's Day Out - Kensington Park

This was on a hot summer day ..@ the Kensignton Park - a huge acred park with lot of fun activities. 8 families had gone together so it was big jing bang and we had a good time.

Food,Literature,Antakshari - A day away from the busy Buzz ..It was relaxing and refreshing ...Bompu really enjoyed himself - he was in the best of his behaviour.He freaked out with Diya and Shreeya who gave him good company!!! He was friendly with everyone. But these days whenever he sees someone new he starts crying infact screaming it worries me a lot ...He has started recognising new faces. R says he will get better as he gets old . I hope so ...

We have put in here a few glimpses from that day. We shot a whole video but it was too large to accomodate here ...!

When we finished the day all of us had the same thoughts we should do this more often ...!"

Rishi Explores...

Rishi has become mobile ..Yah he ventures out on his own not on his legs but on his knees. Not a corner is left unexplored.Everyone keeps telling me "Wait till he starts walking" ..."Hmmm....."

But at the moment I am enjoying this every bit though I keep cribbing every now and then that I cant handle this guy ...Things move on..(I think Cribbing comes naturally to me !) "RISHI keeps me busy and totally on my toes (God Save Me)"

Whenever I call out to him from the kitchen in a moment he is there..I can't imagine that only a few weeks ago I was grumbling to Jey Chitti that He was not crawling and was getting quiet concerned" and now he is ..driving me up the wall .

When I am cooking he is in the kitchen ..getting his hands onto anything and everything in the kitchen,...When I am at work on the laptop he crawls towards it and attempts to do some programming himself ..Then he is off to the bedroom ..Pooh... Tirelessly ...(He is offlate trying to sneak into the restrooms. So far we have managed to have him out...!!! )

One of his favourite spots is now standing and watching television. We have just tried to secure the wires and the other gadgets by tying a wooden gate like structure onto our TV stand .Rishi's favourite passtime now, is to hold onto the sofa and stand up or sit down and crawl towards the TV and hold the gate /stand up with the gate's support and watch television..If his poems are on display you can even hear lot of "coo coos" and laughter in between ..He enjoys this thoroughly.

Also Rishi has started picking up on the Camera ..Whenever R takes out the camera to shoot he gets alert and starts smiling and following R and tries to reach for the camera ...

Here is a glimpse of what is happenning here day in and day out ...His visits to the kitchen and bedroom ... (Offcourse we haven't covered the destruction that he does...) We have been nice to Rishi...;-) Cheers !

Am 8 Months Old :)

Hey all,

Rishi here ...

Been a while right ??? exactly one month to be precise. But am sure Mom would have been updating you of all that's happenning in and around me !!!
This month I have started to get up and have started to walk holding things ..Especially I love the sofa ..It's of my perfect height ...and I have the carpet below since I am now not 100% strong on my knees I keep hitting the floor..! And u know why I love the sofa ?..Because that's where Appa and Amma always leave their precious things .."LAPTOP","MOBILE PHONES","VIDEO RECORDER","PHONE CHARGERS" ...:) They have been leaving these there because they thought I could not reach them...Now that I can ...they are struggling ;-)

I am now into "full fledged crawling" ...! I follow Amma and Appa anywhere and everywhere they go..To the kitchen , To the bathroom , To the bedroom..They have a tough time escaping my eyes! That reminds me I have to ask Appa to upload my crawling video..

Thatha left on 9th of this month..I miss him terribly..He used to take me out to see the cars atleast 4 times a day ..Now amma and appa do it only once or twice ... :( And he used to lift me the moment I start crying ..Amma doesnt do that :-( Thatha when will you be back ???? Cant wait for April...

I do video conferencing with Thatha and Patti on and off ...I saw Athai and Perima and also Kausi akka and Govi Anna ..I believe Kolu thatha is longing to see me ...He keeps telling patti that he wants to see me ...Hopefully I will get to see him when I go home next year ..!!

Also last weekend we went for shopping to BirchRun .. Amma and Appa bought me a bunch of dresses from Carters..Lot of winter clothing ...Yah i still can't beleive it...We are nearing the end of Summer..

Bompu's New Pass Time

I still remember those days whenever I used to put the passifier in his mouth and he used to spit it out instantly...!!! And today wherever he finds the passifier he grabs it and puts it into his mouth... Ha ha!!!

Initially he used to have it only in the car ..Now ...whenever he is cranky the first thing we try to calm him down is his passi ... :)

Infact Shirish calls it the "Silencer.." Apt isn't it ?I hope he doesn't get addicted to it ...

Chitti was telling us that it's not good to use it when the tooth starts to come out...

What amazes me is the way he has found out that he has put the passifier the wrong way and puts it the right way again and he feels a sense of achievement when he does that ..!!!

He looks at you with a sense of pride ..His eyes sparkle with joy !!!!

"ஆலிலை" Rishi

How flexible children are ... I think I should have called this edition "Rishi's acrobatics.." Ha ha...!!! Check out the picture you'll know why I am saying this ..

Right from day one he has been putting everything into his mouth, anything and everything ...He puts his ten fingers in and if you offer him your hand he wouldn't mind it he would take in that too ..:) Honestly I need a robot to just keep taking his hand out ..sometimes I get worried at this habit ...everyone pulls me by saying "Like Mother Like son" -- God forbid !

Whenever I change his Diaper he gets into perfect position to get his leg into his mouth.The other day Rajathi patti was telling me that usually most children do this..But she said "NOT ALL" children do it so we decided to capture it on the camera ... :) Here you go .. Have a glimpse of it

My god can you imagine that he has his own favourite songs ?? To get him to sleep we have to use the 150 song list (poem) ..I keep telling Raja that the best thing that he has done so far from the internet is his download of these poems..
Pooh I must tell you it's a boon for me ..!!!

For sometime his all time favourite song was " Chennaiyile Kudaram ..." If he is screaming, I just have to start off Chennaiyile and he would just zippp.........Now ..his favourite is "John Jacob..." & " China Papa" ...
So i decided to ask Malli Athai to sing it for him , obviously I am no match to her voice...We got this recorded over phone...
As soon as he listens to this song he just goes quiet....:)

Am 7 Months Old :)

Hey all,
Guess what ?? I am 7 months old today...Can't believe it myself it just looks like yesterday that I was in Mommy's tummy here I am now trying to sit on my own ... Yes ..that's this month's achievement ..I am trying to sit all by myself.

Right now you know what are my favourite toys ..??Nah not the ones from ToysrUs ..The Wipes Box..The non working phone , I love them...I enjoy playing with these...

Did I tell you about my fall with mommy from the Rocking Chair..Me and Mommy were happily listening to my music and I was almost asleep suddenly I heard a dhud.. and a panick cry from Amma .."Rishi Rishi are you allright..." I just opened my mouth to cry and Mommy plugged in the paci ..I was shell shocked as much as Amma..She started crying saying ..I am so sorry Rishi ...and alas I saw my Rocking chair in two peices..Mommy was hurt but she kept asking .."Rishi are u ok ???" Heard that night from appa that she was in immense pain..Pooh..And you know ..what Appa buys me a Rocking chair the next day..A nice high tech one..Now Me and MOmmy are Rocking away.... Thanks Pa

Now I am on Gerber Foods ...Yumm Yumm Yummy ... Lots of Veggies and Fruits . I will ask Mommy to post some pictures of my feeding Gerber sometime soon ... I love Peas ,Potatoes and Carrots...I dont like much of Pears ...but still sinking it in ..he he ..Mommy has started me on Gerber Apple juice...hmm..."I love it". She was telling dad she is gonna try White Grape this week ..Also she is going to get me Oat meal ...Right now I am having only Rice cereal na ??? ! Hmm sounds exciting ...Mom always keeps telling me " Study like Appa, Be like Appa and Eat like Amma " ...I guess I am trying to ... !!!

Rishi's New Toys ..

Finally we managed to go to ToysRUs and a grab a few toys for him ... !
He gleamed in happiness seeing the new doggie ..That makes lot of new sounds..
It Sings for him sometimes he gets scared seeing the lights flash.. Ha ha..
It's so much fun for him now.
I got the idea of clicking Rish's PlayZone I am sure the number of Toys are just going to multiply ..I dont know where I am going to store them ..lol :) When I clicked the Playzone I got a super duper idea I am going to catch a snapshot of his closet, his stroller, his food ...etc ..When he walks down the memory lane I think he 'll be delighted to see all of this na ?
Will save that work for the weekend as my official photographer is not available at the moment (Ha ha ...Offcourse Raja!) Cheers !!! Rishi have fun with your new Toys..!

Rishi goes shopping

We went to Kroger yesterday .. !It started to drizzle and so we took our umbrella to secure Rishi ... and Rishi said to me ..
"Mom u take care of the cart and i will hold the umbrella tomyself ..Dont worry "

Rishi's Trip to Madison

When we planned the trip , we always had it in the back of our minds..How is Rishi going to take it ..Infact I kept asking him .."Rishi we have lot of plans at Madison ..Do you have any ??!" Little did I know that he was just going to throw our plans out of gear...
All along when we were planning the trip I was only worried on how he would be behaving in the car .. Because he never enjoyed sitting in his "Car Seat". I never thought about how he would be in someone's house...I really didnt have my plans for the same ..Honestly ..!!! And that I now realise is the biggest mistake !
The trip was memorable for "Rishi" for lot of wrong reasons :( .Rishi was totally out of place..Total unlike "Rishi". I think the issue was that we had given him his shots (vaccines) on Friday and we travelled on saturday.
He had fever for the most of saturday ..He was very quiet ..He kept sleeping most of the time in the Car. But when we were nearing Madison his fever started rising and he became really cranky.. ( We took the vaccine because the doctor said he could take it and travel. Infact he got the same set of vaccines which he had got in his 3rd month and at that time he didnt get fever.. )
Saturday evening when we landed in Lakshmi's place the time was around 10 PM ..:( He was totally cranky ..I tried to feed him milk ..He wouldnt take it ..He was very naggy . Around 11 PM he just started crying ..not in minimal sound as he usually does ..He was screaming his throat out .So unlike Rishi I thought to myself but he continued to go bizzare .........He constantly was crying ..I tried everything in my sleeve ..Toys ..Pacifier ..Milk ..Diaper Change ..Dress Change ..My usual Kudaram Song , his string of Poems ..., Nothing worked. He kept screaming ..I was in tears not knowing what to do .. Appa started crying ..It was a really unforseen situation..Chitti, Shreeya all were running and trying to do different things to calm him down. Nothing practically worked..Raja was tensed and helpless though he constantly kept helping us out with diff solutions nothing worked that day..I was just thinking that we might have to rush him to a hospital emergency because we didnt know why he was crying and we didnt know what could practically get him down.
Finally we found a solution .....Thankfully ..Yes !!!! a "Rocking chair" and luckily we found one in Lakshmi's house..And in 15 mins we managed to rock him to sleep..
POOHHHHHHHHHH..What a relief ,. ! Thank GOD !
I have never seen Rishi this cranky before ...When i spoke to my Aunt this morning (Devaki Athai) she told me that it was because of the change of place..Babies usually do not enjoy ""change of place" I believe..An experience of my life ...Painful ...unforgettable day in my life when I was a Helpless "Mother"I now keep telling Rishi ...There are no more trips for you until you turn 3 ..Your trip outside will be to Kroger, Meijer,Wal-Mart, K Mart and to your pediatrician ... Ha ha ha ..

Am 6 Months Old :)

Ho ... Mamma and Dada ,

I am six months old today ...I know time is flying .. :) I am growing up..

Thanks for the new dress... as usual !!! It has been a ritual @ our household to have a new dress every month for my birthday!! This month infact I got to wear two new dresses as I spoiled one by burping some cereal onto my red one so dada got me dressed in the second blue one ..
What do you think guys ? How do i look in them ?

My hair is grown a lot , I look all curled up ..Dont I ??? It's going to be a while before I crop them off. In a matter of months dont be surprised to see me in a high pony ? Have I lost some pounds or have I become taller and hence look thinner ?

And today mama gave me a bath all by herself. It's a milestone yes ! until patti was here she used to head the bathing procedure or she used to help mama , then after she left - dada and mama used to handle it and now that dad was busy at work Mom took it on her . It is a "milestone" - Yes because the jumping and standing and dancing that I do - I need atleast 4 hands to handle me when i am bathing .. !

Raja suddenly takes his camera today and exclaims... "It's been a while since I clicked Rishi on the camera"

Dance.. Baby.. Dance!

Rishi loves to listen to poems.. ! He erupts in joy when he listens to poems ..That's his only pass time these days.

The moment I pick up the remote to switch on the television he thinks I am tuning in for his poems and starts giggling..

So we are left with no option .. but to play his poems. My dad tells me that this is our "Sahasranamam" because we hear it atleast 5 times everyday...

And if I start dancing with the tunes, his joy knows no bounds and he erupts , he starts boxing his hands and legs.. This is his "dancing" for the moment. Cant wait for him to get up and dance !!!!

Rishi's First Sip

Rishi stunned all of us today by trying to take his first sip ... It just happenned suddenly...
Here is what happenned exactly..He loves this green plastic glass of ours..That's the glass in which we have our coffee. Everyday when we have our coffee Rishi would fix his eyes on the glass , nothing else can distract him or draw his attention .His eyes would just keep going up and down just following the glass. and infact it became an everyday game in our house to move the glass in different tangents to see his reactions..We enjoyed it every bit.
We thought he just is attracted towards the color...

But now we understand all this while he was not amazed by the glass but he was just observing us ... drinking coffee and today he stunned us by just doing the same..It was just not the sip but he kept swallowing it as if it had something in it..

Rishi sits momentarily ..

Rishi is growing up ..

Today we put on a new dress on Rishi which was sent to him by his Suji Perimma from India ..

Rishi looks handsome in that dress ..It was a perfect fit on him so we decided to click a picture and we made him sit down. R was asking me to take my hands off Rishi for a moment ... so that he could click...

Suprisingly Rishi was sitting without my help for atleast 10 seconds.. Hurrayyy.......... Rishi is growing up .. !

5 months old

Pooh .. I can't believe that I am five months old today..

Thatha is coming from India today..Amma and Appa have gone to the airport. I couldnt go because I am feeling very sleepy ..And i might become cranky.

I dont want thatha to see me crying on the first day.. !!! Lol :)

On Thatha's Birthday..

It was thatha's birthday.(My dad's birthday). Unfortunately this year we had no one going there ..

So we decided to do this ...We got an "IPOD NANO" and then made Rishi hold it and then sent a note ..Happy Birthday Thatha...

And then when we called we told him to check his email...He did so ..

He went bonkers..He was so happy ...He kept saying ..Oh my God its so good .....

These are the small things that make them happy ...Felt good ...

Rishi Rolls Over

Oh My God ..It's been a long wait ..

Everyone who enquired about Rishi would ask me a question .."how old is he now ?"And when i would say 4 months old immediately the next question would be...? Did he Roll over ..So i kind of got concerned..

The best part was he really didnt show any sign or interest to flip or turn .Usually they say the child starts giving indications that he is going to ..This guy didnt give us the slightest of indications... And suddenly this morning he is 4 months and 5 days and he just gives a try twice and then rolls over.. Ha ha ...Now all he does is just keeps rolling over ....

It is fun to watch..Rishi rolling galore ...One more step up in his growth chart ! Have a look here..

Rishi's Cereal Time

Doctor has asked me to start giving him Rice cereal from this month ..
So I started off ..Today is the 10th day ..When I started he used to make a hue and cry and try to spit out the cereal ..I thought he was not enjoying it ..And I infact tasted the cereal to be honest it was nothing great..
Today.. is the 10th day .... my my he is freaking out ...complete change from his end..He has started enjoying it ..Relishing it ... He finishes it off in no time .

The funny part is if i give a momentary break between two spoons of cereal he goes bizzare... He cant take that break... ! And while he feeds ... every now and then he verifies if the bowl is empty.. lol :)

I am four months old ..

Hello All !!!! Today is 22nd .Yes ..You guessed it right i turn 4 months today ...I am growing up..This dress that i am wearing is a new one ..It came all the way from India from who else my loving periappa and periamma ..So Mommy got me dressed in this ...Don't I look handsome in this one ???

I think Orange suits me ..I know i cannot wear these flashy colors when i grow a little older hence Mommy is trying all these on me right now .. Ha ha ... !

Offcourse Dada cannot be without flashing the camera at me ..when i am looking so colorful and handsome .. !!! So here you go dada ..Posing for you... !!!

Rishi Story Time

To be very honest I wouldn't call it story time..

It's just that R got so excited that I was reading something to Rishi..He called it story time..

I actually can't read any rhyme (oops i should call it poem..In US it is called that in that book with a rythm because I didn't know any of them..Lol :)

This is so amazing ... that how kids suddenly start growing up ..

As someone said "To see a child smile is the biggest gift on Mother Earth " ..

I believe , a child doesn't begin to smile until three and half months..All of a sudden We see Rishi smiling.

It's such a pleasure to watch them smile

Oh my God... I cant beleive it. The way he keeps responding to me when I talk to him..I think he has gone on me on this one..He loves to keep coo cooing along with me.

I wonder what he understands but neverthless I keep talking to him and he keeps coo cooing back to me .. :)
